“Pizzaiolo” is the first domestic benchtop oven to hit 400 °C and cook an authentic wood fired-style pizza in just 2 minutes! It replicates the three types of heat generated by a brick oven: conductive, radiant and convective. Moreover, Sage’s “Element iQ” system creates the ideal baking environment for a variety of pizzas, whether fresh or frozen.

Sage’s “Element IQ” system steers power to where it’s needed to achieve the optimal cooking performance. Thanks to innovative sensors, PID temperature control and optimised deflector technology, the system adjusts the heating elements that are on at any point in time, as well as changes the power of each of them to ensure that your chosen pizza is cooked to absolute perfection.
CONDUCTIVE HEAT FOR BASE CHAR CONTROL
The independently controlled, dynamic deck has been designed to sit directly above the oven’s heating elements. The natural cordierite stone is heated quickly and evenly to maintain the correct temperature, cooking the pizza base to the desired finish, with the right amount of char for the classic wood-fired effect.
RADIANT HEAT FOR LEOPARD-SPOTTED CRUST
Intense radiant heat is controlled by Sage’s patent-pending heating elements, meaning you no longer need to rotate food while cooking. Heat-intensifying parabolic reflectors maximise the efficiency of the top heating elements by reflecting the energy onto the crust.
CONVECTIVE HEAT FOR BAKED TOPPINGS
The optimised deflector shield is designed to protect fragile toppings from intense heat while reflecting radiant heat towards the crust to achieve the leopard-spotted effect.

“Pizzaiolo” comes with a range of preset cooking modes, including the authentic wood-fired mode, iconic New York pizza mode, deep and delicious pan pizza mode, bar-style thin & crispy mode, and even a dedicated frozen pizza setting.
CUSTOMISE YOUR OVEN WITH THE MANUAL MODE
Feel free to customise how your oven functions: the manual mode enables you to control deck and top temperatures or to select which heating elements should be in operation. Choose the ideal heat configuration: select Crust Only to achieve gorgeous leopard spots on a Neapolitan-style pizza, or go for Even Heat for pizza styles that require toppings, cheese and dough all to be browned evenly.
HEAT RETENTION & SAFETY
The combination of a double-pane heat-resistant front window and excellent insulation surrounding the heat chamber ensures that heat remains inside the oven, while outside surfaces are kept as cool as possible.
